GOPIO France Metropole organised a ceremony on 17 December 2016 to commemorate the ultimate sacrifice of Indian soldiers while defending France in the World War-1. Ambassador of India Dr. Mohan Kumar laid a wreath and rekindled the flame with a sword at the tomb of an unknown soldier in Arc de Triomphe, Paris.
